Hello All: I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 (5.7L Hemi) and I suspect the water pump per the 5.7L Hemi is leaking. The milage is 160,000 miles and based on the milage the original water pump has probably wore out. I just want to confirm my suspicion that the original water pump is indeed in need of replacing. I have attached two picture that might aid in confirming my suspicion. Any confirmation for the members of this forum is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.20231018_094617.jpg20231018_094723.jpg

I would be willing to say it is leaking from that heater hose tube from what I see in the second picture.
Mine on my 2014 started doing that recently so I just changed the pump because mine was under a Lifetime warranty with OReilly. If I remember correctly there is just an prong on that tube that could be replaced but with that kind of mileage on your pump, I would replace the whole thing.

And replace that fan belt while you are at it. See those cracks???? it's probably worse than the pump failing you going down the road. And check the tension pulley too. At 160K some of these items are just regular service issues to keep you on the road and off the tow hook.
