Hi All, new to this forum. I have a 2004 1500 that has a flaky ignition switch. If you're not careful when turning it off and removing the key, you'll leave it on and come back to a dead battery.

I'm planning on replacing the switch and have been looking at aftermarket parts. There are so many and everything I've looked at has at least a few horror story reviews. Can anyone recommend a specific aftermarket ignition switch?

Thanks in advance.

Mopar p/n 5018702AA. Yes it's more expensive but if you're worried about aftermarket stuff then this won't be a problem.

Ive been going through issues with my truck not starting. Cranks, fires up for a second. Then stalls. Then just crank and never start. No codes. Tried my spare Dorman key and it fired right up.Dorman ignition almost had me throwing a parts canon at it.
