I bought this truck a few days ago and was told coils where out which they where. I could tell out the gate that was one problem. I checked compression,PCM,Spark plug wires have correct power and fuel rail. The truck started it just had minimal power. I put on the new coils and plugs and it fired right up. The idle is fine and acceleration increased however in 2ndngear it bogs down. The cat gets extremely hot and you can see the exterior is burnt up. Not a big deal as I live in a state that doesn't do checks so I plan to gut it and reattach. Now,my problem is that the vaccum lines I can't figure them out. There is a T connection coming from passenger side. It runs down into the air intake which I believe is a aftermarket aluminum pipe. So I have that attached. The other end of it runs toward the throttle body and is a 90° rubber elbow. I can't figure out where it goes and I see no where to connect it. I broke the pcv valve at the engine oil location when I was on top of truck putting coils in. It idles about 1110 without it attached. When I press it to the broken area it revs down to around 800. I'm not concerned with it as I have a new one on the way and it's a quick easy cheap fix. I want to make sure I have all lines hooked correct before I gut the cat and reattach it. My thoughts on why cat went out on passenger side is due to the owner running 2 bad coils for 8 months. Then, the heat from the cat burned the remaining 2 on the passenger side so the truck only had 4 working cylinders when bought. Once again, not a big deal as I live in a non-emissiom checked state and will gut it. Attached are some photos.
The first 2 photos are at the T connection.
The 3rd photo is coming from,if looking at the T the left side of it. It runs down into another connection (pic 4) which runs into intake.
Pic 5 is the line coming from the right side of T connection toward the throttle I can figure out where to connect.
Pic 6 is just the pcv valve. The PCV valve does run to correct location and secure on that end.
Thank you for reading.

I figured out where it went....It was under the coil pack. Had to remove it and cut harness loose to access it. Still having the same problem. Idles at 1100-1200 due to pcv valve. I'm getting that tomorrow. Now,I notice my cold air intake isn't sucking air. I could of sworn before that when in idle I felt suction. I checked connections and maf is secure to intake and intake body is secure to the throttle body. What could be causing this? After the pcv I'm gonna take it to a shop. I believe the cat is the culprit. What do you guys think?
I didn't realize I was in wrong gen.

If the cat was lean it will overheat. If it original they weren’t very good . You had bad coils that would cause rich not lean. So it could be clogged with carbon. High idle is most likely pcv. Unless you’re going racing I’d put a new cat on. Way better mileage with it. Also there is no such thing as a high flow cat. Only a bigger one will flow more. But may be inefficient . There is a cat/muffler guy in Houston TX. That explained that to me when I did my cats. On Fondren st. Can’t think of the name. Only sells cats & mufflers. I have the same cats from him with almost 300,000 miles on em now. Do the plugs were you had bad coils as well.
