3rd gen 2500/3500 hemis didn't come with it lol...curious that you're getting EGR codes when it's not even in the PCM.

Like HemiLonestar said, no egr valves on early 3rd gens. Very weird that your getting those codes. Hmm. Any chance you have access to a decent scan tool that does live data, programming, etc? That’s what you’ll need to figure this one out. Or try to find a shop that knows dodge trucks, not the stealership though! Unless you want to be overcharged.

Or if the pigtail is part of the harness and just connects to a dummy on the engine and moisture or something has gotten into the connector.

yeah, this one has me quite confused. The codes are P0403 (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Malfunction) and P0406 (The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) sensor A has high circuit voltage).

Curious if anyone knows if the 2007 2500 HD Hemi also did not come with an EGR? Just bought one and had to have it smog tested, (California). It passed the computer scan but the technician failed the truck because the EGR and tube was missing. There's clearly a blank-off plate on the engine and plug in the intake but I can't find any signs of the wires/plug harness. What proof could I show the smog shop that the truck came stock without the EGR? Or, if it did, where would I look for the original wiring harness so I can reinstall the missing parts.
