Hi, so I'm a relatively new dodge owner and I'm having problems. I broke the front differential on my 2006 Dodge ram 1500 Big Horn. It has the 4.7 and is a 4x4 quad cab. I bought a new differential and housing for it from a yard without seeing it. When it got here, I found out it was a non-electric engaged differential from older truck (I believe it was a 2004). My question is what is interchangeable on these axles. They appear to be the same ratio and all but the housings are different. Are the Internals the same and I can just swap them out? Thanks!
