Long story short, my brother in law gave me the truck, is 2009 has 200k. It belonged to one of his crews. Sitting on his yard for about 1 year, he said was running before.

First time I got around it looked complicated dead, flat battery. Bought a new H7 battery it started right away!! Cool.

My first truck, very excited, did my home work around this forum, looking for common issues, does appear to have "hemi tick" so cams and lifters should be fine?

Has a tick but it is the common issues exhaust leak manifold bolts broken.

My problem now is cars does NOT START AGAIN!!

Check battery is fine, fuse box is getting power, 40A starter fuse is getting 12.8v and starter relay is good.

When put key on dash cluster is dead, only shows millage. Interior lights work, headlights works, can roll windows up and down.

Anyone faced same problem?

Grab a hammer and give the starter a couple of whacks, while somebody is trying to start it. If it starts, you know you're probably due for a new starter.

Key is in rough shape. Bought a new shell for it.

Open the key and looks like the circuit board has on broken solder joint on transponder chip.

Could it be key issue or ignition switch malfunction?

I think its your key and or ingnition switch I had a similar issue with my 2011 i swapped both because they where both wore out after 190k jiggle the key up and down while its in the ignition see if she cranks.

Yes I think so too, because it looks like the car "doesn't know the key is in ignition" I'll remove the win module and clean, see how it goes. How did you replace yours? Dealership? Thanks

The guys are right...look at the ignition box. Go to youtube and type in, Ram WIN Module. A bunch of videos should pop up.

The ignition switch on the dash, which the key goes into, stands for Wireless Ignition Node. It is an actual 'Module' (box) behind the dash with it's own set of circuit boards that 'talks' to the vehicle's main computer. The WIN module is a source of starting problems just like you are describing. But also a fairly easy and inexpensive fix for a DIY guy to resolve. The main source of problems are typically dirty contacts (most common) or a bad solder joint. A large or heavy set of keys on a ring seems to pull down and add strain on the key assembly part of the module, causing the bad-contact issue. And age of course.

Chrysler used various versions of these modules in other vehicles, which experience similar issues. There are different WIN module versions, so to replace one you need to match up what yours is. Best to try to DIY repair the one you have, if you can. Probably won't cost a dime. No guarantees that's your problem, but it was a very common issue when these trucks were a few years old. Best of luck. Report back what the problem turned out to be.
