As seen in the circled portion of the photo, I’ve been having water leaking from somewhere and soaking through the headliner. We have tried a sealant on the break light gasket and I thought we were good for a bit, but I have had water still leaking in. Next step would be to remove the headliner to see exactly where the water is coming in from. Any tips on how I should proceed with doing that or any thoughts on how the water is still getting in to begin with?IMG_1260.jpeg

That location tells me it's the rooftop antenna (puck or sharkfin). To access, take the B and C pillars off and any garment hooks along the back window area. You can then gently pull down the headliner without creasing it to loosen the nut retaining the antenna in that corner. I never had a leak, but when I replaced my antenna the nut didn't seem very tight and the rubber gasket that sits under the antenna had dirt on and under it which means it wasn't sealing well. I cleaned the area very well with windex to remove anything that might break the gasket's seal and installed the new (to me) antenna .

The rooftop antenna is on the passenger side, have the leak on the drivers side. I encountered an issues last year involving water leaking from around the antenna but had resolved it last year. Would it still be caused by the antenna?

Possibly? I didn't know they installed them there...no sunroof right?

If the antenna cable runs along that area it could be making a drip loop right above that area but "I think" the antenna cable runs along the passenger side. Although it could be reversed in your case since your antenna location is reversed too. What year is the truck?

Ok, It's possible your sunroof drains are clogged too, have you inspected it with it open? The drains typically go from the front of the sunroof to the A pillars

What was happening on mine is water leaked in through the rear cab vents, soaked the carpet then the greenhouse effect in the cab caused the water to evaporate, then it would condense on the inside of the roof after sunset and soak the headliner and drip out of the oh-sh** handles onto myself and my passenger.

Replacing the cab vents + fully drying the interior fixed it. Except for the water stains.

Never thought of that (evaporation) but I've seen folks with leaking cab vents and how much water can be hidden in the floor bins...

Thank you, SitKneelBend! I have water coming through the microphone(?) above the driver's seat. Your comment led me to search good ol' youtubeuniversity. I found this simple video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m3i1JGF3tM

I then realized I had water pooling in the left front of my sunroof well, which was in fact, caused by a left front sunroof drain clog. The video suggests using weedwhacker string, but that didn't work for me. Luckily I had some steel wire laying around. Thanks again!

I'm having this issue too. It's coming in through my back sun roof window seal and dripping onto my arm rest and cup holders. And May being a wet month here in Ontario while at my mechanics this week, they parked it nose down and all that water from the storm rolled forward and totally soaked my whole front portion of the headliner and sunroof shutter.
Shame bc I bought the truck a all black interior and that black suede/soft material for the headliner. Ruined now
