Sudden grinding sound in rear axel. First thought was the outer wheel bearing. Pulled the axel and bearings and seals are fine. The problem is the back of the wheel studs are rubbing on the clips that hold the parking brake pads on. The clip closest to rear of truck. Can’t really tell what has changed to cause this. Any ideas. Do I need to replace the “shield” that the parking break stuff mounts too?
