2012 RAM 3.7L oil pan rust

My brother has a 2012 Dodge ram 3.7L, the oil pan has some serious rust issues i can easily flex the rusty areas and it looks like it will give up soon enough. It looked like a PITA to replace with some bolts being under the trans bellhousing and maybe needing to lift the motor. Any tips or tricks? Is this common?

Yes it's common, sorry don't have any tips to make this job easier.

When I get a new vehicle, and then once a year there after, usually during the summer, I slither under my vehicle with a can of satin black Rustolium, and coat anything bare or beginning to rust. There is very little rust on anything on the underneath of my vehicles. I hate rust. It's an ugly sign of neglect. Clean, Greased, Painted is my motto.
