2012 ram axles

Hey guys,
I was doing homework on my new truck and I learned I didnt have the axles I assumed were in my truck. I thought I had the 8" front and the 9.25 rear. I have had these on a few trucks and feel comfortable with them.

Then I learn I have the zf rear with even less (none) options then the 9.25.

Then further learn that the front diff is different now too... From 8.0 to a 8.5.

I can't find any info on this at all except that it's rumored to be the rear in the lx cars.

I know people say the front 8.0 was weak due to the aluminum but I beat on my old truckretty hard and never had a problem and never heard of people trashing there's.

Any info would be great on any of this.

i know in 2011 the rears definitely changed, but not sure on the front

I was under the impression that the front diff is the same 03+.
But seeing as how I don't have a front diff, I haven't looked too deeply into it.

2011 rear only, 2012 introduced the front change as well. Sucks I know, I have had to spend alot of money modding my gears to get them to fit.
