2012 ram cam/lifter

I have posted on here before finally found out why my 2012 ram 5.7 with new non mds lifter/cam wont run right was idling like crap and tapping. I tore it apart AGAIN!!! the cam was defective so i sent both cam and lifters back. Now i need to get replacements again . HOW Ever i have a question whats the real diff between mds cam and a NON mds cam cause i do have a good mds cam and i see some people using mds cam with non mds lifters?

Also i lost one of the little washer/hold down things for the rocker assembly what are they called and where can i get a new one?
