My power train warranty transferred? I bought extra bumper-to-bumper though for other things to be covered.

I would get a lawyer if you feel there is no reason for this. I don't see how they could refuse to give you the information for the diagnostic you paid for though. If I knew I was right, I'd fight this all the way to court. Best of luck.

Even if you have a tune, they have to prove it was the tune, or the exhaust, or the lowering that caused it. Sure they dont have a video of you on you tube doing donuts and roasting the tires? **** I might have to take mine down now...But seriously, they cant just deny it without an explanation. If they could, all dealerships would deny the warranties.

No they dont belive me if you have a tune your screwed just like if you open a computer as long as they can prove it was tuned they dont have to prove the tune caused it

According to this you did some tranny work
http://www.ramforum.com/f44/2012_hemi_ram_supercharger_build-29926/

so if thats the case ya you voided your warranty

forget the tranny work, you added a supercharger. you voided the warranty. im guessing that going by post #172, you pulled the supercharger off and put the truck as close to stock as possible. sounds like they were still able to figure out you had one. i dont blame you for trying to get a new free trans, but doesnt seem right to bash a dealership for denying your claim either.

Man, I read what was posted on your build thread. This would be reason for not honoring the warranty. Sorry

Yeah, not cool to throw the dealership under the bus when you are running a supercharger, stall converter and who knows what else. There are some crappy dealers out there but many try their hardest to take care of us customers. Stuff like this doesn't help.

ill also throw in that you should pay that diagnostic fee. some tech lost out on money from other repairs to look at your truck, which shouldnt have been covered under warranty. hes owed it.

Last time I went to go get a check on my trans northwest dodge and gulfgate dodge (Houston area) if yours is used that the 100k mile power train and drive train is not transferable to next owners on the standard 36k mile warranty is which is why I am now grannying my truck to save up for a new one but hopefully you find some that will hook you up good luck

The power train is transferable the lifetime is not so example would be if you have a 2009 when they did lifetime and you are second owner you only have 3 yr 36k but no powertrain. If you have a 2010 and newer you would have 3 yr 36k and 5 yr 100k if you were 1st owner or 3rd. I am second owner of Journey my wife drives and it is 2010 and has powertrain 5yr 100k that is how I know.

I think a supercharger is definitely a deal breaker for transmission warranty. I mean seriously if the transmission is rated for 430 lets just say since stock is 390 or more. You ran it at 490 and it broke well of course. They never made it to handle 490 hp. I don't know actual numbers of yours but obviously much more than stock.

None of that stuff ever made it on the truck. Still sitting sealed in the boxes.

Either way... If you are planning on putting all this stuff on there, it's time to upgrade. Forget the warranty and get a stage 3 sharadon or l&h custom tranny.
The stock tranny will just break again if you do put this stuff on it/on it again.

What is the truth? I don't get how both things could be true.

right...thats why your going back and editing all your posts now, deleting any proof that it was ever on your truck. something everybody does when the tell the truth. not that it even matters. sounds like the dealership already has all the proof they need.

man up dude, you blew the trans. suck it up and buy a new one. you gotta pay to play. its stuff like this that makes it harder for people who have minor mods to get legitimate warranty work done.

I've read through that other thread before. It seems like you had swapped to a 2010 PCM and everything else to get it working. Along with running a 2010 valve body and a few other things. There were track slips of it in the 13's... Im no expert on what actually voids a warranty, but your truck was anything but stock in a lot of ways.
Maybe the dealership should've replaced your transmission under warranty. Hard to say. That's why I plan on waiting until my warranty is up to do anything major to my truck. In 5 years the aftermarket will be better, Tuning will be easier, and costs will be down.
