My 2013 Ram Express came with the conventional gauge cluster. I know this may be a long shot, and I did some searching, but was curious if anyone knows whether or not the 7" luminescent display cluster can be added or not? My truck has the uConnect 5.0 head unit and all the typical steering wheel buttons for the EVIC. Just would like to add that newer cluster if its possible. I mean my drummed down cluster has access to all the EVIC info already. Wondered if it was just a simple swap.

I was wondering this too, but I'm guessing it's not possible or at the very least your dealer would have to program it to work.

It kinda stinks that you can't get the upgraded cluster in a 2013 Express like you could a 2012.

Well I hadnt picked the truck up yet. Dealer gave me the option of jumping to a different Express they had on the lot. Decided to go ahead and do it with only a $700 dollar jump in price. It has the premium display package with the overhead console and the 7" multi-view EVIC!!

Thanks all. I love this thing as much as I did my 09 Ram when I got it. Except this 2013 has more of the techy options my 09 didnt have. I do have to add remote start sometime but oh well. So nice to have the 2 extra doors too.

Oh so you can get the EVIC in the 2013's? That's awesome! My dealer absolutely clueless too because they told me you couldn't. Lol

Yea, the first place I went said flat out the option wasnt available at all in the Express. They didnt even know what the Premium Display Package was. Even me showing them it was orderable via the website and they just brushed me off. Yet they kept calling me asking if I wanted the truck they had with next to no options at all. Did more searching and found one at a dealer, across state line, but I found one. Saved myself some cash too. Crazy, it had options the first dealer said werent available!

For those with the EVIC, how can you tell when this thing goes into ECO mode and cuts cylinders? Other than listening for it.

I finally figured it out. Messing with my radio last night I came across a fuel saver display option. It was off, flipped it to on and now ECO pops up in the EVIC.

I must say, the 7" display is pretty ****. Having my trans temp, and all the other goodies customized on it is pretty cool.

They definitely have the tech down. Now they need to work on their painting process. I find it lacking.
