long story short. Wife I went camping this weekend , about a 150 mile trip. over 95 degrees while driving and half way there my Stereo ( 8.4a Alpine ) starts blinking off and on, then my ac goes out at the same time even though the light is lit . I pull over and restart the truck and it seemed to reset , but then starts doing it again . I finally stop at store and go inside for about 25 mins. Come back out and doesnt do it again for the rest of the trip, but then my elec. plug in works one min ( blowing up air matress ) then next morn doesnt work. Drove all the way home today and no issues. I have a 2013 1500 crew sport. I also only have less than 2000 miles until my factory warranty is up. If i take it to the dealer I know what they are going to say, well it didnt do it for us so we cant fix it. Has anyone had an issue like this? I do have an after market amp and sub in it but thats after the factory amp, so I cant see that being the reason. Plus thats been there since winter with no issues. Its like it locked up and went crazy and the climate control is all integrated into the stereo as well, which is stupid in my opinion. You cant even turn the radio off. Any ideas would be appreciative . Thanks.

Hmm...first thing off the top of my head is to take it to the dealer and,see if there is a software update for the radio.

Take it to the dealer if you are still under warranty. You want the issue documented

Yep , I was on the last update at the time and I decided to go ahead and download the newest one that came out this month. I haven't had any issues since and it really kind of freaked me out at the time. Its still hot as balls here in St. Louis so I am keeping an eye on it for the time being As I know the dealer will do nothing they don't have to unless I can reproduce the problem. Thanks for the responses guys !!!

You definetly want to take it to the dealer to have it documented even though they won't do anything about it. If it happens again it will help you if your warranty is over a little. Also if it happens again video it with your phone. There is no way for them to dispute that. Good luck.
