2013 dash lights question

Again I just got this truck used about 4 weeks ago.

I have my headlight switch set to auto so when its dark out head lights come on auto no problem here.

My question is the dash lights are they suppose to say lit even during the day time. The dash lights are on all the time. I can dim them but is there a setting to shut dash light off during the day and come on with the headlights set to auto as I mentioned. Dont need the dash lights on during day time driving>

If you look down by your headlights switch, there should be a little whee that you can spin left or right. That controls the brightness of your instrument panel. Hope this helps.

Thanks I know I can dim them by the switch you described but was wondering if they could be set so they are off and when it gets dark out they come on with headlights which I have set to auto. I have a durango and thats how the lights work in it. The headlights and dashlights come on at dusk/dark
