Hello all. Here is the deal. I have taken 2013 Dodge CV to 4 mechanics including the Dodge dealership and nobody can figure out the problem. There is no engine light on either. Van randomly shuts off while driving and tends to happen when accelerating at higher speeds, hence it commonly happens on the freeway. Last mechanic said it could be a bad catalytic converter and so i had them replace it but after leaving the shop and getting on the freeway, it died again. I have been reading other posts and the one thing that i cannot find with others posts is that after it just shuts off, if i disconnect the battery and reconnect it right away, the van starts up immediately. On other occasions i have waited 10 minutes and tried and it would also startup right away again but then other times i can wait 10 minutes to an hour and it will NOT startup. Disconnecting the battery has allowed it to startup everytime after it has died. So it makes me think that something is "resetting" by doing this but what could it possibly be? Does anyone have any ideas at all? Like I stated before, the Dodge dealership could not figure it out and of course when they test drove it it did not shut off for them but they had it for a week without any results. Van has over 200K miles on it. When starting it otherwise, there is no problem starting it up and starts up immediately without any hesitation. Any ideas? Thanks in advance and if there is anything you need to know let me know. This is the first time posting here so not sure if i am giving everything that is needed. Thank you so much!
