I have a 2013 Ram Express that I was upgrading to the 8.4 Radio/Nav, but I can’t control the volume with steering wheel controls. So I swapped out to different bezel and hvac controls only to find a difference in connection points. My question is, can the dash wiring harness be switched to a model setup that includes the needs here? Just the harness or would connections elsewhere would need to change as well

You're in luck, I just upgraded mine to one with ATC control. I have the old one for sale. PM me if interested.

You can also buy one from M2Mods @Mpgrimm2 if you plan on future upgrades and need more options built in. He makes his to accept future upgrades too and they are OEM like quality.

Thanks for the response. From your response I am guessing it is doable

Yep, sorry (should have started with that). You will also need an additional HVAC control module too though to control the climate. It gets installed near the passenger front seat footwell (not sure if you have that already. Do you have the part number of the 8.4 radio you are using? Is it a radio manufactured for 2013-2017 vehicles or 2018+ radio?

THese are some threads authored by @Mpgrimm2 that will inform you of pretty much everything you need. feel free to ask questions here though to not get lost in the sauce...
