Long story but here goes. Replaced the Power Distribution Center from Maks tipm. The abs and brake light came on, they told me to zip-tie the battery cables together for 11 hours to reset memory. After that now the controls on the steering column and cruise control isn't working. I'm being told a bad clock-spring assembly that was probably already going bad and the 11 hour memory drain finished it off.
I understand aftermarket clock springs are too much trouble and fail early. The dealer is asking $718 plus tax for the part. Does a new dealer clock spring come with the steering angle sensor. They must order the part but can't tell me if it's included. A mechanic shop will install for $150 so I'll go that route.
