2014 1500 2wd Rear end Noise

My 2014 1500 2wd is making a strange noise in the rear. It doesn't change when you apply the brakes, I have changed the rear diff oil thinking I would see metal but it was not bad. It's not like a worn brake pad sound it's kinda like a rubbing grinding noise. Any thoughts? It has 94000 miles on it. Could it be the parking brake although it works fine? Thanks for any help.
