I have a base radio in my 2014 ram 1500 and I don't know which radios I can use to upgrade because I don't know which radio I currently have. New owner here looking to learn from the knowledgeable! Thank you in advance

Ra1 is base and ra2 is the five inch screen with backup camera on it I believe. Ra2 is also known as uconnect 5.0. Then it goes to 8.4. Might be two 8.4 versions also. I'm sure someone else can confirm this better than I.

If your truck has a touch screen and you are able to.make and receive calls you have the RA2 or 5.0. If you cannot make and recieve calls and your radio is not a touch screen you have the RA1 or 3.0. No matter which radio your truck came with you can upgrade to any factory radio you chose. The RA2 5.0 the RA3 8.4 non Nav or the RA4 8.4 full Nav. There are several writups on it in the 4th Gen DIY. If you have the base 3.0 you will need to buy the factory microphone rear view mirror with the harness for the Bluetooth phone to work if you upgrade from the RA1 to the RA2 RA3 or RA4. It is all plug and play and extremely easy to do once you have all of the pieces.
