Hello!
I could use some direction, please.
I've been chasing a no heat problem since November. I originally thought I had some actuators going bad, so I replaced 3 of the motors(no effect ). I finally picked up a scan tool that would access the HVAC module, and I can clear the codes, but they come right back, citing a generic "cooling system problem". I just had gastric surgery a few days ago and not able to crawl around too much at the moment. I did take some temperature readings with my laser thermometer and this is what I have:
Top rad hose 114
Lower hose. 82.8

Heater hose. 102.4
Heater hose 79.9
Heater hose where it goes back into the water pump(lower) 66.2

Surge tank 95.2
Any suggestions as to next steps?
Thanks!

I've seen where the 1500's is mounted to the frame rail under the air box , but not sure where mine is.
Those 3-way valves were only installed on trucks with the ZF 8spd transmission to divert coolant to the transmission TMU when not needed for cabin heat.

If your not getting heat on the driver's side(or worse either side) and the coolant gets over 180° then you probably have a plugged heater core. Known problem with these trucks, seems to effect the HD trucks more than most.
Some people are lucky enough to be able to back flush the heater core, some end up having to replace it

I hope that you did not toss the 3 actuators.
Mopar Actuator motor itself does not go bad often,
IF you open the actuator up, check the little white plastic gears
If you see a broken gear, rotate it 180 degrees , then close the actuator back up, plug it back in, without screwing the 2 mounting screws in
