OK, here is my question, has anyone found a 6 x 9 speaker that will drop in the front doors with no major modifying? And of course sound good, or are we stuck with the 6 1/2"???

My stock 2013 had 6x9 and I swapped them out for 6.5 kicker (low end model). It made a difference even with the 5.0 head unit.. They did take awhile to break in.

You can put almost anything in the doors and make them sound good. It just takes time and money. I prefer 6.5s because it is so much easier to find a decent mounting depth.

The search function is your friend as this topic has been covered on here many times... Regardless, Kicker makes a 6x9 drop-in upgrade through Mopar. I run Alpine SPR69's which are drop-in as well and have a higher RMS rating (200W per pair) than the Mopar Kickers. MDF spacers can be made/purchased to install deeper 6x9's. Anything over 3" depth will need a spacer. A lot of guys prefer to run 6.5"'s with adapter brackets. I run Kicker DS69's (3 3/8" mounting depth) in the rear doors with no fitment problems as the rear is much deeper.

you might want to clarify if you have the alpine or non alpine sysstem. That fact makes a huge difference on the proper answer

The Kicker Mopar 6x9s are a direct plug and play, same plug as factory, and will really enhance the sound. You wont see any gains on a speaker that handles more power, unless you give it more power.
Stock power is stock power.

Don't know about the non-Alpine system, but on the Alpine you only get a mid-bass output to the front doors. Putting any type of full range speaker is a waste. Look for a pair of 2ohm mid bass speakers...if it's like the Alpine and you do not get full range to speakers.
