Hi all, looking for some help. My Ram occasionally stalls after start up. This happens maybe once for every 100 starts. After I take the key fob out, re insert into ignition, starts and runs fine. Truck has 83,000 miles and runs like new, performs very well. New battery installed a couple months ago. I'm trying to go through process of elimination of what it might be. The only thing I can come up with is the ignition control module - which the dealership has told me is rare to go bad. Other info I can provide, key fobs keyless entry does not work, even with new batteries in them. In fact, one of the key fobs, when inserted in the ignition with the driver door open, there's usually a pinging noise until you close the door/start the truck, and theres no pinging. One key fob inserted works as expected when inserted into ignition. Any ideas? Maybe the key fobs/ignition control module or both?

I would lean to the gov being the issue.

The issue was my key fobs. They had lost there calibration to the truck. Cost $500 for 2 new fobs plus the programming through the Ram dealer. Have had the truck back for over a month now and no issues at all. New fobs work great and the keyless entry works perfectly. Like brand new.

I have a similar situation with a push button start. It never has a problem with remote start. 3 or 4 times in the past 5-6 weeks. It starts up right after, no problem.
I am going to the dealership tomorrow to get my tick (likely exhaust leak) looked at. I’ll mention this issue to them too.
