Good morning all,
Question here for the group - as the title says, I have a 2014 2500 Cummins paired with the 68RFE trans and the 3.42 rear end gears. I started noticing this summer that with the windows down I can hear an unusual noise when decelerating over 25-30mph or so; even more audible when driving alongside concrete barriers. Without sounding too much like a CarTalk caller, the noise is a tinny rattle/chatter starting immediately after releasing the accelerator, lasts about a second or two, goes quiet, then starts again. This repeats about 2 or 3 times before the noise stops. Could this be a torque convertor noise trying to unlock after being loaded and locked?
Thanks for any input, with a truck this expensive I try and stay on top of anything that seems out of the ordinary at the first opportunity (and while the truck is still under warranty)
