2014 Sport Reverse light bulb type

Ordered up some 921 cree led's with the assumption that they would fit in my 2014 with factory led lights, but when I went to swap them out, they didn't fit. The stock bulb is much wider than the 921. I even looked up in the factory manual and it says it's a 921 which is the same as the cargo lamps. I was able to use them in the cargo lamp, but wondered if anyone knew what I needed for the reverse lights? I didn't see any specific writing on the bulb. The factory bulb is on the right.

Premium (LED) backup lamp is a T20. Page 679 of Manual.

In other words, 3157, 7443 etc.. All the same in LEDs

I had a set of the CREE reverse lights in my old truck and I really need to order some for this truck!
They make a huge difference!

Thanks. Does anyone have any recommendations where I can purchase some of the Cree side firing Led's that won't give me a reverse light out error? Also, do they need to be a side firing bulb or can it be a 360 led bulb? I checked over at retro solutions but didn't see a side firing led or a bulb for the canbus system.

VD, have any luck finding the replacement bulbs? I'm also looking for this upgrade.

I was just about to hit the order button, but the model year range was 2009-2012. I figured they would be the same, however before proceeding I figured I would investigate a little further. Thankfully I did.

Eh...they're better than OEM, but not super wow better as everyone said about the '09-'12 ones.

It's probably because the '13+ reverse lights are better than the '09-'12's anyhow.

Not sure if I'd recommend them or not....$45 was kinda steep for only a little better.

Thanks for the update! I guess there are no other options for the 2013+ yet so may have to get them anyways.
I've spent more on less useful stuff so it could be worse haha

Are there any HID solutions which use an actual HID bulb & ballast to replace the halogen bulb? Because you don't have to worry about directionality or blinding anyone when driving maybe this would open up a couple doors for you?

There are - but HID's aren't instant on like halogens or LEDs.
