i'm considering going with the Bilsteins to level the truck. and also going to a smaller wheel. Probably a 17" wheel. My mission is to maintain ride quality and mileage but have a slightly more aggressive look to the tires and stance of the truck. I guess i'm old school and 20" wheels just seem like a waste to me. a little more meat in the fender looks better on a truck.

currently considering the Bilsteins , a 17x9 wheel and some 285-75r17 Nitto TerraGrapplers. i'm thinking this will look like more tire and more aggressive tire but won't change the overall diameter too much (less than an inch).

anybody done something similar, any opinions or suggestions?

i love the ride of the truck and we recently got 28mpg from Dallas to Austin with 5 people and a bunch of luggage. Love this truck!

I actually am thinking about doing something similar. I already have the Bilsteins set at 2.1 and I am going to install a 4" lift later. When I do the lift I haven't decided if I am going with 33" or 35" tires yet but I am definitely going to a smaller diameter wheel. I prefer more sidewall as well. I just finished up pretty much everything I wanted to do to the interior and exterior so I am starting to research and figure out which lift, tires, wheels ect. .

I went down to 17s as well since I'm off pavement everyday I'm about to add a new bumper (and hopefully create a thread when I get around to it) so it will change my sleeper set up but here is a side view on mine. My front end is about an inch above stock in both pictures.

Original 20" chrome clads on the left, aftermarket on the right, details in the sig.
