Has anyone installed HID's in the new 15'. I have searched and searched and see that guys have had no real problems with the 14' and older. But I read the guys at The Retro Source were having problems with the 15', saying maybe they have a new computer causing the headaches.
It started when I was just messing around and tried putting a 15w HID reverse light kit I had laying around in. I read that the reverse lights would not give a bulb out warning but they do in the 15'. I couldn't get the Ballast to fire.
Also I figured I would check out the fog lights. They are in fact not in the Canbus system. So I tried those ballast on that circuit and it fired for a second, but that is all I could get out of it.
I have heard that Dodge can be a real PITA with this, any thoughts?

I have a '13 and I just ordered set of the new Morimoto ballasts and headlight bulbs fro mine. I could not get the passenger side to fire at all. Pulled the parts from the drivers side and still nothing. Put the stock bulbs in and no problem.

Now I had just put in Morimoto LED's in the foglights and thought that could be interfering. Pulled them out and same thing. I remembered I just had the PCM flashed to fix another issue with the truck and am wondering if this changed something.

Now I had the Morimoto HID's before but wanted to use the new ballasts with external ignitor to eliminate the flashing when coming on. The problem was always with the passenger side so i guess there is more going on there. I could do the wiring harness but I would rather avoid that.

Anyway, I know it's not a '15 but the '13 is when they switched to the new canbus. Thinking maybe something is related there.

Anxiously waiting on Retro's solution as the halogen bulbs in my '15 Express Black Editions projectors suck. I too had a back up hid kit laying around but never even tried em after reading about lighting issues with the 15's instead purchased a set of led's for the back up lights and haven't had any issues with them.

Same here...its a waiting game. There is a local guy to me who makes Custom HID kits, which he has a kit for 15+ but he only sells them installed and wants 600$ for low beams. Says there is alot of rewiring and bypassing needed.

Im waiting for someone more reputable to make a bolt in kit.
