I just fixed my old single button (lock/unlock) key fob with a quick hack.
I bought a five button replacement kit at AutoZone. Of course the bottom four buttons weren't going to do anything but all I cared about was lock/unlock.
I took the innards out of my old key fob, cleaned the contacts, and put the circuit board inside this new kit, but it did not work consistently.
I discovered the inside of the key fob shell was just a hollow open space and the WIN board was not making firm contact with the buttons. So I cut out three pieces of cardboard and stuffed them inside the key fob shell, right under the lock/unlock button to take up all the empty space.
Now the button makes firm contact with the board underneath. $25 dollar solution.
