Key fob intermittenly not working

Ive got a 2012 laramie limited. Over the last year or so the fob doesnt always want to work. Lock/unlock, panic, remote start. Ive found that if i press the button harder and hold it down, it seems to work. I have no issues with the fob starting the truck with inserting the fob into the ignition. Its simply the remote part of it. My original rubber keypad lost the metal contacts so i replaced the rubber part some years ago. I took it apart a few months ago and didnt see any issues. Ive replaced the battery in the fob and that didnt help. Any ideas guys?

A light cleaning with a pencil eraser is pretty good for cleaning oxidation off of the metal contacts on the circuit board. The little contact pads that rest directly under the rubber/cups.

The same thing happen to my 2012 Ram 2500 fob and then it quit working all together.
I just reprogramed a new fob with simple key and everything is working great.
