With my newly acquired 2000 Ram 1500, I received an aftermarket remote key fob. Put in a new battery but it doesn't unlock/lock the doors. On the inside of the windshield, in the upper left hand corner is the item in the,attached picture. Is this a receiver for a remote, factory or aftermarket? There is a button on it, would that an on/off switch?
Also, in the power distribution box under the hood, there is a relay labeled "security". Does that have anything to do with remote door lock or a factory alarm system?
