I have had my trucked parked in my garage for several weeks within the last month, and startup is odd. My truck has the push button start which requires the brake pedal to be pushed in. The brake pedal is hard to push in, and the truck will not start. After a couple tries, the truck starts without issue. Any ideas what may cause the truck to act this way? This never happened prior to sitting for weeks on end. Love my RAM.

I had shoulder surgery, so my truck has been sitting. My wife has been toting me around... My shoulder had 2 tears on the backside and my bicep tendon was messed up. Three anchors later, it has been miserable. Wouldn't recommend surgery on you should unless it's falling off!

I'd say - if you have trouble starting it again, after a day, or 12 hours or whatever the typical downtime for the vehicle is, then be concerned. Plenty of vehicles have minor, temporary issues after sitting for a long time.

Not sure about the hard brake pedal, but also check your battery in the key fob. My wife's 2013 Jeep did something similar when the battery was low in my fob. It would crank up right away for her using her key, but with my key, it was slow to start. Maybe try again with your other fob if you havent already.

I'll give the key fob battery idea a try. Although both key fobs were in the front of the truck at the time.
