Personally, I like the Optima batteries, even though they moved production to Mexico, I still get great results with them and you can't beat the warranty.

Optima isn't the same as it was 15 years ago. Duralast gold is a good battery, Walmart heck makes a good battery, if I were going to spend money on a higher end battery, if would be odyssey. I have a duralast gold on mine no complaints.

Mine went out a few weeks back too. I went with a battery from Wal Mart like @kurek . But I went with the H8 size for the same price.

I stopped buying walmart batteries. I had one that I bought fail after 2 years and when I went to return it (this was on 2916) they said I had to deal directly with the manufacturer. They no longer honor the warranties at walmart so screw them, I won't buy any more there.

I understand that. I've stopped buying things at certain stores for similar reasons.

I figured I'd give them a shot since they post the warranty directly on the battery as 4 year full replacement for the AGM batteries. I did it mainly because my daughters car had her battery go out and it was a 2017 EverStart from Wal Mart. We purchased the car used, but I took the battery in to see if they would honor the warranty on it, even though I didn't buy the battery. They scanned the barcode on the top and prorated a new one just like it. It wasn't the AGM battery so it was only 3 year full replacement, 2 year pro-rated (5yr total).

My battery was a 3 yr full replacement too. It wasn't worth screwing with contacting the manufacturer. Wound up buying an Exide from BJs club. As said, no more Wally world batteries.

Treburkulosis none of us are what we were 15 years ago, lol!
That being said, I'm on my 3rd Optima, my last one was 2 years over it's dead date. They never corrode, the warranty is 100% replacement no pro-rating and they just work. Works for me.
I don't care if they moved production to Mexico, now China I'd have an issue with, lol.

I replaced mine with Die Hard. The battery is heavy! Went though Advanced Auto. Got 10% off and $15 in speed perks back. Cheaper than Autozone.

I go back and buy a Mopar replacement. I've had 2 OEM batteries that lasted over 7 years. They both still tested okay but l replaced them anyway. Any battery that last that long is a great battery in my book.

I'd recommend a Northstar AGM ... I put one in my 2013 Longhorn ... Traded for a new 2017 Longhorn and had the dealer put the Northstar in my 2017 ... Traded for my now 2020 but forgot to get the battery switched ... From 2013 to 2020 that Northstar served me well, was still going strong, and I'm in Canada where the winters get pretty cold ...

I have a 2014 Laramine, and I changed mine in October of 2019.
My brother has the same vehicle and started having battery problems around the same time.
I bought an AGM battery from AAP.
Normally like $200, but after coupon, etc. I think I paid something like $145.
Higher 850CCA, than stock one had too.
