Take the empty weight and subtract it from the GVWR......this number may not match the sticker on the door, which is what the lawman is gonna go by if he stops you.

Has anyone ever seen a lawman drag someone in a private vehicle to a scale? Commercial plates, sure, but private?

At which point? The Tundra is probably heavier which helps, and the Tundra probably has a locker or clutch type limited slip, which is miles ahead of the helical lsd in the ram. I also want to see if the front axle was grabbing at all in 4 low or if the clutch in the transfer case was slipping. I'm not saying she was a super driver or anything but it wasn't all her fault.

Gearing... This video makes me want to do this even though I always think these are dumb I just want to crush that Toyota with my 4.56 gears and Auburn oh and real mechanical 4WD sorry loveracing1988 I know that is sore subject. I think Toyota pickups come with a much lower gear ratio 4.10 or 4.30 hence strong low end and worse mpg than most Ram 1500.

Back to topic though I love the new ratings system which honestly looks like Ram has been using a fair process before so our numbers are not inflated like many other brands.

I had to convince some of my friends at a bachelor party that they could be pulled over and ticketed for overweight towing. They thought I was crazy but as I realize not common for personal use they can and will ticket what they see as unsafe. They may also say this shall not move until something bigger and rated to tow it comes and picks it up which would really suck.
