2015 with vibration; floor, gas pedal, steering

Mine shakes, had it in for a rebalancing and no improvement. I'm running bfg at ko2. Never had any issues with the bfg tires I had on any other truck ever. Can't see it being a tire issue. Gotta be driveline. It's annoying as heck. Don't need this from a new vehicle.

I really really really doubt it is the wheels (rims), tires or brakes (now maybe it is on some of the vehicles) but for me the shake...

- I had all 4 tires re-balanced and rotated - problem still exists - on the factory rims/tires
- is not in the steering wheel (alignment)
- does not happen during braking (I.E. bent, warped rotors)
- Only at certain speeds - although I swear I could feel it a 40ish this morning - could be in my head though

I believe tranny, transfer case (unless someone show up with a 2x4 and the shake) or shafts.

Taking mine in as soon as the dealer locates a "loaner" vehicle.

I'm set up for September 7th. That's the soonest I could get into a service center within 100 miles. Lol... That should tell u something. Starting to regret leaving GM this go around.

I have a 2015 Eco diesel 4x4 that is doing the same thing. Dealer already replaced tires and the problem is still there. 60mph and higher it vibrates. Not in the steering wheel but floor, seats and truck body. Truck goes back in on Monday, hopefully they can pin point the problem. I traded my 2012 5.7 4x4 for this one and never had a problem with it. If anyone gets this figured out please let me know

Same here dealer put all new tires vibration still there have call schedule an appointment Monday.

Good info. I will let the dealer see that when I go in on Monday. I am pretty sure they are baffled and have no idea what the problem is. I will follow up once I get the truck back and let everyone know what they say and do this time.

What tires are you running? I know they are prob stock but what model and size. Some think it may be an issue with the tires.

Mine is a 4x4

Both my 14 and 15 are on the stock Goodyear tires. Both trucks have the 20" wheel package.

Really doesn't appear to be a tire issue. What about lower control arms leading to rear axle? Remember these issues with my 4th Gen Trans Am's, replaced all cheesy stamped steel suspension components with quality BMR tubular steel suspension components and all was solved.

Everybody needs to go to NHTSA and file a compliant so they can investigate the problem and escalate it to a Recall.

My resolution

My dealer Ramey Ram of Princeton WV

Agreed to basically buy back my Truck

And apply that to a Fully equipped Outdoors-man Crew cab still a 2015 Model but it has everything but the Kitchen sink and it may have that won't know till it arrives.

My Thoughts about the dealer have changed dramatically They stepped up when Ram was in total denial.

I take my 2015 Sport 4x2 in next friday for the same issue.. vibrates and shakes something crazy around 60-80mph..

I had a 2014 4x2 pentastar v6 that did not have the issue.. hope it's just getting the wheels balanced but from reading here it prob won't be. If my v6 didn't do this but the v8 does.. what's different? I know the drive shafts are.

Newbie to the Ram (2015 Laramie CC) (coming from a Toyota Tacoma)...

On a scale from 1-10 (10 being REALLY REALLY noticeable)...how would you guys rate this vibration?

Comparing to the Tacoma...the RAM drives smooth, but I still feel the road bumps and imperfections that travels through the truck. This vibration is much different, correct?

Thats the first thing I noticed on my way home when I bought my 4x2 a couple months ago. Started floorpan vibration and felt in floor and back of seats. Not on steering wheel . Occured approx at 55-65. After a while its gone now or least much less noticable. Mileage now is 1700 miles.

Scale of 10 now, I feel it at about 3 less noticable. Then again, perhaps its the road as when driving on the same road wifes Mazda CX 5 does make similar shake but her suspension is more advanced and takes it better than the live axle on the ram.

Prior it shook worse, I could see the passanger front seat back rest shaking whilst it occured.


PS. I would never trust a dealers mechanic to balance or load balance my tires in respect of ruling this issue in or out . Remember the lowest paid person at the dealership will be doing this task under time frames.

Just do the basic simple stuff, ask the dealership to allow you to test drive another Ram, get the other ram to speed where your vibration occurs . Then take the ram back and take the wheels and put them on your truck. If vibration still persists then you can be 100% certain its not wheel or tire related. This is the only way to start the process. Screw someones take that they have balanced your current wheels LOL.

hey, i have an 09 4x4 with a 4.7l. 34" tires and 3 " body and 2.5 leveling. mine shakes bad off and on. pulls to the left most of the time. had it is a two different dealers 3 times. and they say everything looks good. and if i feel any vibration its from the tires. but they are not driving it. or they would know there's a problem. trying to find info on the new recall for steering issues.

Dealer insisted it was flatspotted tires, balanced them three times before replacing them- problem still remained

Took it back, they took the drive shaft off and the carrier bearing had gone bad. It shook so much it broke a bolt off the drive shaft where it meets the input shaft on the rear.

They wound up replacing everything from the drive shaft back on mine...

This is most bizarre , It started again today. Starts at aprox 55mph shaking floor and back of seats. Im gonna let it ride.
