Hi everyone new to the forum little background about me I fix ram trucks for a living mostly body work front end wrecks, roll overs ect
Back story I purchased a 2016 ecodiesel with 23k miles involved in front end collision put it together, the engine was knocking. Decided to take it apart noticed a chain tensioner was kinda loose thought ok maybe chain slap replaced it put it back together same problem. Took it apart again saw that it was a spun bearing, bunch of metal shavings in oil so I decided to replace block (I actually had a used block from another truck about 60k miles) anyways I ran it a few times no problems decided to take it out on the road today then low oil pressure light came on shut it off right away, towed it back to shop. Removed oil filter bunch of metal shavings so my question is after I replaced the block why did I get metal shavings again (will disassemble motor later on just wanted to get some ideas )
