That would depend on what front bumper you go with. Some dont weigh much more than factory

My Hammerhead front bumper was around 180lbs. Lots of fun to install by myself. Plus the weight of a winch and a few sets of lights and shackles. 20200407_183924.jpg

My barricade hd is only 80lbs roughly. Just a guess from me picking it up by myself. Maybe a bit less. Lost 1/4” of lift swapping from the stock sport bumper. All I did was adjust my bilstein 5100 up one ring to accommodate the weight and I was good.

A.D.D. makes some pretty lightweight front bumpers. ICI used to make super lightweight ones but they got out of that business :(

I’m digging on that bumper more and more. Did you get the skid plate as well?

Yes. I’m sure glad I did. It looks funny without it. I have a picture from install of this bumper of with and without the skid. Hard to see the difference here but it was super noticeable in person. I like it a lot especially since the skid plate uses the stock tow hook mounting posts. I have plans to extend mine down to the diff crossmember and replace the factory skid plates with something I am planning on welding up. They offer a hoop as well for mounting lights and it also works as a partial grill guard but I didn’t want anything attached to the top of the bumper.

Is there any way to get a pic of the backside of the bumper @crazykid1994 ?

I’m wondering, if I can fab up a hidden winch setup as seen on Express/Sport and metal OEM bumpers (in the DIY section).

I will be making a hidden winch mount whenever I scrounge up the money. It’s definitely possible. Tight with my oil filter relocate but there is definitely space if you’re good with fabricating. I’ll have to get you a picture after I get my truck back. It is Sitting at the dealer currently.

@crazykid1994 I have the same dilemma, as I too have an oil filter relocation kit (TransDapt).

I was able to redesign my tow hook brackets to work with my body lift (1.5” Zone) with my Express bumper, so it shouldn’t be that tough . . . and I love a challenge when it comes to tinkering on my trok.

That and I’ve got plenty of leftover angle iron and other materials to facilitate the hidden winch mod (with Express bumper or aftermarket).
