Has anyone had issues with their 2016 Cumins turbo or accuator failing. Ours failed with 36K miles. We need to all notify Ram and the FCA to get them to add 2016 to the replacement issue of 2015's. Any suggestions on how to get help with our replacement costs?

Wow, a 2016 with only 36K on the odometer? I have 209K on mine with a good mix of heavy towing. Knock on wood, it is running well. What codes are you getting? Might just be the actuator which is a less costly repair. If you want it running soon, the repair will most likely be on your dime. IF and that is a big IF, it gets added to some TSB / recall you can file for reimbursement.

This was my thought - 36k on an 8 yr old diesel means it basically sits most of the time. Diesels have NEVER liked that, especially a turbocharged version. The turbo tends to get 'gunked up' from not being used hard enough.

Heck I bought an '03 6.0 PSD once, had been used for several years as a landscaping truck that almost never left town or went over 45 mph. It only had about 70k on it and was 6-7 years old (I don't recall exactly). I should have known better, but I put about 1k miles on it (about half expressway) the unison ring on the variable vane turbo locked up. Got the selling dealership to split the cost for me since there was no way I could have destroyed it in 1k miles, and never had another turbo issue again in another 100+k miles.

I'm calling fake post here...

He made the same post back in September of 23 and the truck had 39k miles back then. Appears that his odometer works in reverse?

Good catch. I guess he is waiting for Stellantis to issue the recall so he can get the mythical truck fixed for free.
