Hi everyone,

I’m currently swapping the seats in a 2016 base SLT. We’ve picked up a set of power seats from a 2014 model and are working on the wiring integration.

Looking at the harness, the power appears to lead toward a yellow plug. I have two main questions:

1. Can anyone confirm if the yellow plug is actually the power feed? I've heard that yellow connectors are typically reserved for the airbag/SRS system, so I want to be 100% sure before pinning anything.

2. If the yellow plug is for power, is it as simple as running a fused power line from the truck side to that connector? If anyone has a pinout diagram for the 2014 vs. 2016 seat harness or has done this specific year-swap before, I’d appreciate the insight!

TIA!

It is that simple (12V power wire). See here...

Ok, I think I’m missing something. I know nothing about this other than the VERY little I can find online. We currently are not wired for the power (that I know of) and I have no idea where to pin the new wire (truck side and seat connector) to make this work. Most of the information I can find is vague at best!?!

Contact @Mpgrimm2 . He might be able to make the harness to sell you and give you step by step instructions.

things are vague because it really is an if this then that situation on what you need vs what your truck is starting with vs year and trim level of the seats being installed. (I only support 13-18/classic seats in 13-18/classic trucks.

If you just need power to make them move that's one thing, but if you want heated, vented, memory seats, and heated wheel and/or 115v dash inverter to work, that's more involved. Send me a message if you'd like to see about getting a harness set for it.
