Mileage 58,500 mi (95,000 kms) I've noticed more recently that I hear what I'll describe as "a tick tick tick" engine sound when it's just flashed up and seems to settle out a bit as it warms up (at least I think it does).

No issues otherwise that I can see. I hear this tick tick sound and it makes me wonder. Oil changes have been on time.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should be checking?

Would also be helpful to know what engine you have. You posted in the v6 forum, but your bio says "5.4L"

Truck is 8 years old, in the states that would only be extra warranty. If it is a hemi, 2 main causes lifters or exhaust. Usually warranty would be responsible, but they may wait for mis fire code if it is lifters.

Taking 2017 RAM into repair shop tomorrow for an assessment. Pretty certain passenger side exhaust manifold is the issue (tick tick sound when cold and then it kinda disappears). It's a warranty job, purchased extra when I bought the truck. Anyway, my question is, if they go ahead an fix the passenger side manifold, can I expect the drivers side to go soon as well? Should I request they do both sides (if they will) ?
