So I've got a 2018 2500 and I'm having an intermittent issue starting.

It started randomly, turn the key and got nothing. No crank, no lift pump, no dimming lights, no dash warnings, nothing. Tried again, then hit the unlock button and tried and it fired up. Figured I tripped the security or something.

Fast forward a bit and I went to start it and same thing, left me stranded. I tried the same thing and nothing. Tried both my key and my old ladies key and nothing. Left it and came back the next day, pulled the batteries and took them to get them tested. Autozone, advanced and orileys all said they were weak so I bought 2 new ones threw them in and it fired right up. Drove about 5-10 minutes to pick up a buddy to drop him off at his truck he let me borrow to get mine taken care of and it wouldn't start after walking back out of his house 15 minutes later. Same ****.

I'm at a loss. I'll take any advice as to what to look for.

Disconnect the batteries for 10 minutes, then cycle the key all the way to start just to make sure all of your modules are electrically drained, then reconnect the batteries and try and start it.
Just collecting data for now.

Are you getting any codes? If you have a code scanner, hook it up and try to pull the codes before you disconnect the batteries.

Also, is it just no crank, or no something/anything else? Like can you put it on Accessory and run the radio? With it in run do your windows work etc?

Sorry guys, just getting back around to this. it's been miserable out and I'm not screwing around in single digit and sub zero temps.

No codes, everything works normally but there is no crank at all. I disconnected the batteries for 24 hours and made sure I drained anything possibly residual in the system by trying to start and activate the electronics. the problem persists.

I've checked and replaced fuses and relays for the starter. still having the issue. All the grounds seem to be solid. I've tried jump packs, dual jump packs, and even off another pickup. When it won't trigger it won't trigger.

The tipm and or something with the security is on the list as a problem. Also the key module being bad.

Do you have any ideas how to test the tipm?
