hello all- relatively new to this forum. Have a 2018 RAM 2500 Laramie with the projector headlights. I am trying to figure out the quickest/most economical way to increase brightness as the stock headlights/fogs are rather dim IMO and have a hard time seeing on back roads heading up to the cabin. I have read some about LED/HID conversion kits and while I am considering, in a bit of a time crunch as I’d like to do some type of mod this weekend to have for some long upcoming trips. Not sure I would get all kits in time.

Appreciate any insight on quick/effective headlight mods that will increase overall brightness and visibility. What have people found most effective? Is the 9005 to 9011, and 9006 to 9012 (fogs) my best option? Thanks for the input.

Yes factory bulbs suck and they are like candles. I think the cheapest way and most convince will be vanquishauto because their lights are brighter than others and the system they use is truly my favorite it’s plug and play and no issues with errors or flickering. I think that will be the cheapest and most convenient way. If you want to go like all the way I will say new retrofit lamps with fixtures etc... I will suggest another company called hidretrofitkit here is their link for them

LEDs inside projector housings SUCK. My flashlight was brighter than my headlights... I dont know about the 2500 housings, but mine in my 1500 had a backplate that sealed the housing up. The first set LEDs i tried wouldnt fit, so you have to pay attention to that.

I put LEDs inside my fogs and they work great since its not a projector lense.

I ended up going with Innovited 55w HID kit. Now, my low beams are insanely bright, and since they are projector lenses im not blinding everyone in front of me. This company has good reviews, and the kit has a 2 year warranty in case something doesnt work right. https://www.amazon.com/Innovited-Co...712918&sr=8-3&keywords=innovited+hid+kit&th=1

Best bang for your buck is a true retrofit and swapping out the stock projector for a true HID projector since the stock ones are frosted and designed for use with halogen bulbs. That being said your brightest option other than that would be dumping in a HID kit into the stock projectors. You can put LED's in your highbeams check out the Morimoto 2.0 2strokes that just came out there a tight squeeze but they do fit and that is what I run. I just finished up doing a retro fit on my 2500 projectors as well this is the passenger low/high projector HID with the 2stroke 2.0 in the highbeam. (No drivers side in photo wasnt finished yet).

I have a 2018 2500 with the quad reflector headlights and was looking at the Morimoto 2.0 2strokes for lows and highs. Did you need an anti flicker/pwm harness?
