I have a 2018 6.4 2500. Looking to upgrade to a larger tire with a stock setup. What would be the best looking/performing tire size? I do tow a 5’er from time to time.

I have 35s cooper st maxx on mine with a 2in leveling kit and I think anything smaller would look little. I was surprised at how the truck swallowed up 35s.

I ran Nitto Exo grapplers for my last set and they were great tires. Went to the Ridge grapplers this time around and finding that they are wearing out Extremely fast. (and yes they are inflated properly and rotated) Don't think I will go with those again personally. Probably will look at the coopers next tme around, they have pretty good reviews.

Are you gonna keep the stock rims? I’m running 35-12.5/20 aftermarket rims thought.
I recommend 35-12.5 Nitto Terra Grappler G2’s mine have 25K miles and still look brand new. Quiet smooth ride 10 ply(E rated)
I love these tires. 28502de7c1edd0b556e035d3a8862424.jpg

Which stock rims do ya have?
I think the tradesman steelies are 7” wide I’m not sure about the aluminum ones. I believe 35’s require a 8/9” wide rim. So 35’s on Say a 7.5” rim will cause the center tread to wear abnormal. The tire will be pinched in too much.

you looking at strictly highway use ? g2 style would be ok for that. for any offroad i would keep far away from g2 style. traction will be poor and they have zero side wall protection

I have a Big Horn. Pretty sure they are steel rims with the plastic chrome covering.

Nice Booner21, have you any pictures?
You will have to disregard the dirty truck it doesn't get washed during hunting season and isn't exactly a pavement princess.[emoji16]7bb0298e43c76e7db8b7485fd8c0c7a7.jpg08be0e6b254e21e7ef4822b0a664f6b8.jpg4bf6bfe95bf37027e8d650b87fd85070.jpg

Everyone is focused on tire type/performance which is great.... But, be sure you are watching weight rating for your 5th wheel towing. I'm watching football and am too lazy to go check my sticker but I'm thinking the stock tires are rated around 3000# to maintain the RAWR of 6000#. My replacement tires are 3600# each for a total of 7200#. Rumor has it that the rear axle on the 2500 is the same as the 3500 (SRW) so the tires well may be the weakest link with the 2500. Point being, getting over-rated tires can really benefit you. My tires are rated at 3600# each for 7200# total on the rear axle. Just like people love to say there is no such thing as too much truck.... there is no such thing as too much capacity with your tires. Shop accordingly :)

Forget about looks and larger if you are towing.

Larger will affect your tow load.

Get Nitto Dura Grabber - great tires!

End of story!
