2018 RAM 1500 CLUNKING SUSPENSION

I was so impressed with my 2004 RAM i have owned for more than 14 years, that I just purchased another one, A 2018 RAM 1500 Tradesman. I now have about 3000 miles on it. When I go up into driveways or over bumps at a low speed, it often clunks from the suspension I believe. This has been going on since about 800 miles Anyone else have this or heard about it? TIA.

There are a lot of threads on here that touch on different noises. Newer stock trucks the front frame bolts have loosened that's where I would start. The bolts holding the body to the frame. next would be bumper, then spare tire, if you can re create it have someone else drive while you inspect

I'd let the dealer sort that one out then. I don't think that is a common issue. But that's just me!

I hear the same thing from time to time in my 2017 1500 Laramie, also stock suspension

I get the same thing on my 18 tradesman. i was told body mounts but have not had it actually looked at yet.

Mine were my rear swaybar endlinks.

Once that was upgraded no more clunk

Hunting a strange noise on my 15, take a video while driving and capture the noise, dealers love to type “could not duplicate” after arguing with mine I showed him a video and now he believes me.

Check the front sway bar links, they eat them like candy. I'm on my 2nd set in 6 months.
