Alpha bod would be worth it to me.... i gave up the power fold 360 degrees cams for the manual fold tow mirrors when i ordered my Laramie... would love to have the mirrors to power fold could care less about the cam

Are them new 2019 Ram 1500s still like the 18’s with the non power-fold tow mirrors? I still can’t believe they didn’t incorporate that power fold feature on the halftons for the tow mirrors like they have on the heavy duty’s. That still doesn’t make much sense to me. Who in the hell in the design department thought that the 1500 owners wouldn’t benefit/appreciate being able to remote fold the tow mirrors like the folks with the HD’s can?

Does alfaodb work for 2019 all new Ram's? If so, does it require a bypass AND will this one work on it?

Also curious to know if anyone has had luck leveling their air suspension trucks with these settings. I haven't been able to find much out there on these topics

Hi, are you able to ship this to Ontario, Canada? I am looking to lower my tpms values, as my aftermarket tires are max 65psi (and the truck wants 80psi). I understand this harness is part of that process.

Please let me know, thanks!

My harness did not come with instructions can someone please help? Do I simply plug in my harness into my OBD port? As for the two plugs attached (one green one white) do I plug this into the green harness strip under my dash. I see on that green plastic strip there are 2 available (open) slots that fit the two plugs on my harness. Does it matter which one goes in which slot?

I’m at a standstill right now. Thank you!

Glad you got it squared away. There should have been a link to the directions in the email you received.

Recieved my bypass harness today. WOW!! It is nicer than OE. Big thanks to Deereguy and Mike G for going thur the trouble of figuring this stuff out and then deciding to make them for us to be able to purchase. Can't wait to get it in tommorw and get that annoying TPMS warning turned off. And whatever other cool things I try with the Alfaobd

Thanks again you guys are great!!!

Now taking orders for RAM 2018 Security Module Bypass Harnesses. If you have a 2018 RAM and would like to perform diagnostics or make changes to the modules of your truck using tools like AlfaOBD or AutoEngenuity, this bypass is for you. Cost of the bypass is $50.

FAQ

Does this allow access to all modules?
It has been tested connecting to the BCM and RFH. Since it bypasses the security module for both the CAN C and CAN IHS, almost all modules should be good. The one exception is the radio. The radio does not directly connect to the either CAN of the truck, it is hung off of a DMZ on the security module to protect the truck's CAN in case the radio would be comprised via the 4G cellular functionality.

Does this work with 1500, 2500, 3500, etc?
There are two different versions. One for the 1500s, and one for 2500s and up.

How long does it take to install and is the install permanent?

It take about 5 - 10 minutes to install. Installation instructions will be provided with your purchase. It can be removed in the same amount of time. The factory OBD2 port can be put back in place in less than 2 minutes without any tools.

What programs have been tested with the bypass?

At this point, AutoEngenuity, AlfaOBD, and Autel have been used with the bypass.

Should I leave the bypass installed at all times?
That is up to you. Installing the bypass does make the truck less secure by enabling the OBD2 port for use with diagnostic and configuration utilities not provided or authorized by FCA. That being said, the harness rewires the truck to be just like all previous model year RAMs. I would recommend that you remove the bypass before taking it to a dealer.

Can I use this on multiple trucks?
Yes. We have sold several of these already to dealers and third party shops who work on RAM trucks. If you are planning on using the bypass on multiple trucks, let us know and we can customize it so that it is easier to use on a temporary basis.
