So I've been reading for the last week on what everyone has been using and before purchasing I wanted to be sure, whatever is posted as working for 2017 is perfectly fine for 2018 models correct? I don't want to waste time going back and forth between kits so just want to be sure.

If you have a favorite setup in your 2018 model please post up!

Yes 2017 and 2018 are the same. Get yourself a 4300 or 5000K HID kit from Xenon Depot or Diode Dynamics(I have had both and no problems with either)You will also need the Canbus kit to avoid bulb out errors)There are cheaper kits out there(tried a Kensun kit off Amazon in my old Silverado, nothing but problems)and of course the Retro shop is on the high end and I have no experience with them but have heard nothing but good stuff about their products. as far as fogs go I started out with the blue Piaa's, then yellow Piaa's and now I have some cheap Amazon LED bulbs in there. All in all I like the yellow Piaa's the best as they actually did seem to help in the rain a bit.

I've been reading reviews on each light kit for a week now and it seems to be a dead heat lol, can't decide which one to go with.

I put DDM Tuning 35w 5500K HID kit in my lows about a month ago. No problems yet. Running Opt7 LED fogs with Diode Dynamics decoders, also going good. Had Diode Dynamics LED fogs but one was brighther than the other. Didn't get a reply to my email so I returned the fogs and got the less expensive Opt7's.

Do you think the 55W option is overkill or just glares at traffic or what is the difference?

I'm actually debating on getting some 55w ballasts to try out. The 35w is fine, and I haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic, but feel like the HID's could be a bit brighter. Might just need to adjust my beams or could be the 5500k vs. the factory HID's in my Charger, which I believe were closer to 4300k. So, not much help really. I'm looking at ballasts or maybe just change the bulbs to the 4300k and see if those work better for my vision.
