Just bought a loaded-up 2019 1500 Laramie Longhorn with 4-Corner Air Suspension and the "Off-Road Group" (ORG) option. It has 55k miles and the original ORG shocks. I will NEVER actually go 'off road', and I want the cushiest ride quality, so I want to replace the ORG shocks with shocks that are similar (or the exact factory match) to the standard air suspension shocks.

Additionally, as most of you may know, the ORG option utilizes a factory 1" lift, which I will likely try to get rid of if possible.

So there's two things I'm looking to do:
1) Replace stiff ORG shocks with softer 'standard' shocks, and,
2) Remove the factory 1" lift and get ride height back to stock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Someone posted about the factory 1" lift, and trying to remember if it's the spring perches that are relocated (but they're welded in place) or it's different springs. There is several different part numbers for the springs. The OEM shock will probably give the "cushiest" ride without going to something custom tuned.
Probably what will make the biggest impact aside from shocks will be going with 18" rim/tire combo over 20s or 22s.

Congrats on the new ride! I’d drive as is for a few months before I made any changes. Off road suspension are usually softer for better wheel articulation when actually used off road. What tires are on there and are they E rated ?

Also with the air susoension and off road group the air suspension has one less ride height setting then the air without the off road group. Also no springs in the air suspension.
