2019 RAM 1500 Bighorn with the Rough Country 6 inch lift with n3 coilovers.
Went into suspension shop for a slight tap/clunk. They checked out the lift and said everything is good.
Took it into the dealer to do a recall abd figured hell, why not diagnose it.
They came back with a bad drivers side axle (making noise), lca balljoint has play and the tie rod end boot is ripped.

If anyone is familiar with this RC lift, please help.
The kit came with new tie rods. I think they are shorter but Im not sure.
It doesnt appear RC sells replacements.

Will OEM work? Does anyone know one that will work?

I honestly hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Rough Country lifts will consistently have noises and broken parts. Being an owner of a suspension shop myself, we would never clear an RC lift as "Everything is good" The issue with dealerships is that they are capable of doing recalls and warranty that is it, I would not recommend them doing anything outside of that. Remember they work on factory vehicles that are normally less than 3 years old. Yes the tie rods are different a ripped boot is not a bad tie rod end though so I would not feel rushed into making a decision. I would look into swapping that lift with a zone lift to get the geometry straitened out and hopefully save you from buying a whole new front diff as I have personally sold too many of due to RC geometry

Thanks for the info. What about the RC lift would cause my differential to go bad?
I know people rag on RC but I’ve been happy with it so far.

I attempted to go to a suspension shop and they said nothing was wrong, hence why I went to the dealership to check things out.

I called RC and within 2 rings, a live person answered. 2 days later I have a brand new tie rod in hand.

My extended warranty is inspecting the axle and lca damage and may cover the repairs but if not I’ll probably just install mevotech or something aftermarket myself.
