With 2000 + miles on odometer.
As you can see from the picture the average gas mileage is 16.4 mpg.
This is 95% local driving to town on country roads about 8 miles one way. And about 100 miles towing a trailer. And I put my foot in it at least once a trip:)

Anyway, I decided to do a best case highway mileage test.

70 mph on cruise. I-20 With some small hills. Short trip. I could not stand it any longer lol

22 MPG. NOT TOO SHABBY HEMI!

That's pretty good mileage. You're averaging about 2 mpg better than I'm seeing with my 2020 Laramie Hemi w/etorque, 4x4, 3.92 as well. Mine has about 500 more miles on it than yours. Still hoping it will improve, but your post kind of makes me think it won't now LOL. I didn't buy this truck for fuel economy though. That's what my other car is for. Thanks for sharing.

These Hemi's are impressive. I have the 3.92...4x4...tow package version....on our rural roads...I average 21 to 22 mpg...that's going 50 to 55mph. On Freeways....going 65mph....about the same. I pull a small Casita trailer....about 3000lbs.....been averaging about 15 to 16 mpg on trips....I think that is great. My old truck....a 2003 Chevy 2500HD....sucked on mileage...good truck but poor gas mileage. Same size tank as my Ram...26 gallons....use to get a little over 300 miles per tank with the Chevy....now I get over 500 miles.....love the Hemi.

What do you think of that etorque and I assume it has " stop and start??

For the overall average there are probably too many variables to compare reliably. Also, I think the computers calculation may not be 100% valid ha!

And your right, mpg on a pick up is counterintuitive lol. I was pleasantly surprised anyway.

In the next couple of weeks we are taking our new camper out to a nearby campground. Wait until those mpg numbers ughg.

Have fun!

I've been getting high 14s.

five days a week it only goes a couple miles to work, weekends raod trips as short as 45mins to as long as 5 hour road trips.

Hemi (NOT etorque), 5.7, 8-sp auto, 2020MY, 1500, Laramie, 4x4, off road group, 3.92s, NOT air suspension, just added a bakflip but only been on a couple weeks so not yet long enuff to affect the average yet, i burn the 69 octane. ~2,000 miles

Just got 21.3 on a 300 mile round trip on the interstate (Virginia). Averaged around 65-73mph.
(2019 Bighorn with 3500 miles)

City driving has been steady around 16mpg

Outstanding. 300 mile trip means mine was not a fluke.

Did you run with cruise??

Honestly rarely notice the etorque. It does have stop/start, but it only stops one time on my daily commute, and that's only if the light is red. It's usually green so I don't even have to come to a stop once I start driving. It's not very noticeable to be honest, even on the rare occasion I drive in town and have do actually drive in traffic which requires me to stop at times. It restarts very quickly. I wish I could actually take advantage of the tech.

Have fun on your camping trip! I'm kinda jealous now.

I feel for you. You might consider moving to a "Clean-Air county", they do exist within California. Smog it once and done. Never heard of getting a re-flash for smog control around here. Uphill is better air for you, too.
'Course we have other issues, like fire season, it's coming.... :hat:
