Hi all

My brand new Classic V6 Quad Cab Express 4x4 drifts left on the highway from all lanes. Its had two alignments, and the dealer has swapped the wheels and tires left to right.

Anybody else have this problem on an 18 or 19? What was the fix??

I've found some posts on earlier trucks but I'm looking for input on the newest gen 4 trucks.

Thank you

What tires are on it? And can you upload a picture of the last alignment print out?

Post a picture of drivers front rotor. The caliper May be slightly dragging just enough. Also when you apply the brakes don’t hold the steering wheel and see if it stops strait. It’s new so none of those problems should exist

Driver front rotor. Corrosion is because it literally just stopped raining heree9f1a5f27b0728079bd6c7a11b584662.jpg

Front passenger rotor. Scoring consistent with drivers side. When I step on brakes it does pull left, but my instinct is that's caused by something other than the brakes.

They are sending me to a body shop to have it inspected to determine if the front cradle is installed crooked from the factory or if the rear axle is slightly angled.

I agree this should not be happening in a 6 week old truck. I appreciate the input and any more you guys have to offer.

Looks like a cross caster issue possibly not enough caster on the driver side. While in spec it could be improved upon. Or the possibility of brake drag as mentioned above.

Is it a drift left or a hard pull to the left?

Edit i didnt even look at the rear till just now the rear right toe is way off from the left side. Could be plenty enough to cause it to drift left. They need to address why your rear toe is so far off or the tech does not have a clue what their doing on the alignment rack which is a good possibility.

Good input thank you. I'm curious: I thought the rear toe was not adjustable as this truck has a solid rear axle. I'm thinking that's why those figures are in gray; not adjustable.

Am I wrong? How would the rear toe be adjusted?

I'm open to anything as I'm tremendously frustrated. Today I drove nearly 100 miles and it gets tiring after a while.

Thanks again for your help.

While the rear isn't adjustable per say could be anything from rear control arms, bushings, slightly bent axle. With the toe being positive on the right rear it would have a pulling effect to the back wanting to go right which in turn would be the truck front going left.

They could more than likely correct the left pull with putting more caster in the drivers front but i assume the dealer doesn't have "skilled" alignment techs or ones that care. Just because its all in the green doesn't make it 100% right.

Thank you for the clarification. I truly appreciate the input. The truck will be inspected by a good local body shop later in the week and I will suggest what you have pointed out.

Think I'd be looking to have them get me another truck. That's a safety issue and they don't seem to be capable of solving it.

The dealer has been making ever effort to correct the issue. I will see how it goes this week before escalating this further. Thank you.

I'm not completely convinced that it's perfect but the truck is going down the road much better. Do these before/after measurements support going from severe pulling to the left to more centered driving?1d469437598ee15349b311e282b449df.jpg

Update: took the truck on a highway trip today. Still pulling left. Took service manager for a ride to demonstrate pull. Dealer is opening a star case and it will go in for a 5th time.
