2019 ram 1500 gas filler problem

This is a weird one. Have had the 2019 ram for 14 months. Just recently when i put gas in it, even though the filler nozzle penetrates and opens both fuel doors gas either squirts out of the filler neck right when i start pumping and the pump shuts off, or it keeps shutting off every 5 seconds,like it is full but it is not. I have had this happen at 3 different gas stations . I have pushed down real hard to insure a good seal with the nozzle but nothing helps. I have to fill up a few cents at a time while the pump continually shuts off. Anyone else had this problem???

Just had mine replaced a few weeks ago on my '19 Big Horn. It's a fairly common issue and there is a new design.

same issue was just about to make a post about it. @RamCares Is this something they'll fix without browbeating them to death or should i just cough up the cash and replace it myself?

Dealership supposedly fixed mine but made things even worse ... I can't even get anyone on the phone about this anymore ... I have also set up an appointment online only to have it removed within hours ....

The new designed filler tube didn't fix anything ...

The new design filler neck fixed my issue? Has worked perfectly since. The old one it would click off every few seconds causing frustration and rage. @CAG CheechDogg are ya sure they replaced it with new part number filler neck and not the old style? Just out of curiosity

I had the same problem with the 2018 RAM 1500 Laramie I just traded in. After four or five unsuccessful trips to the dealership while it was under warranty, they finally got it sorted out. Of course, it ended up costing me a $200 deductible as it was no longer under warranty. They replaced the fuel tank and vapor cannister and blew out all the lines. On the paperwork they had given me there was a note that said the vapor cannister was heavy. I don't know what that means but, I was able to refuel after that.

I hope this helps you some.

Here are the screenshots ! First they asked for my vin number then they wanted my full name with other information.... at that point I knew nothing was going to get done....

I tried setting up appointments after appointments online since they wouldn't set nothing up over the phone... I kept getting put on hold or told JT the service manager would give me a call back... never got anything back ... so what information besides my vin name and phone number could I give you guys.... then to only have Rob say that you guys can provide "an additional layer of assistance" .... only way to escalate was to already have an appointment date set which I couldn't get them to set up!
